NLCS - Game 4
Game 4: Santana vs Hernandez
The Serpents, looking to even the series, send O. Hernandez to the mound. Top of the first, Figgins gets things started for Huntsville with a 1-out single. After a SB, Figgins advances to third on a passed ball. Moments later Figgins scores on a grounder to short by Abreu, giving Huntsville the early 1-0 lead.
Bottom of the 1st, Huntsville looking to take control of the series, sends Santana to the mound on 3 days rest - Would it pay off? Santana gets Kedall swinging to start the game, followed by a fly out by mench and Strikeout of Young.
Top of the 2nd (1-0 - Huntsville Lead) Estrada gets a 1-out single, followed by a Hillenbrand walk. After a Beltran flyout, Santana steps up to the plate with a chance to help himself. He does just that with a solid single to right scoring Estrada. In the bottom half of the inning, Ramirez draws a leadoff walk, Hernandez follows with a single to right. Phelps and Klesko both fly out to shallow center. Polanco is intentioanlly walked, bringing up the pitcher Hernandez. Hernandez grounds out to third leaving the bases loaded.
In the Bottom of the 3rd, Midgard gets on the board with a solo HR by Young. But Huntsville gets the run right back in the top of the 4th with a single by Furcal - scoring Beltran.
Well, The rest of the game was pretty much not worth mentioning, as Huntsville pitching shut the door on the Serpents offense giving Huntsville a 3-1 win and a 3-1 Series lead. A lead to great for the Serpents to overcome - Or is it?
