Legends Franchise has won back to back championships. Earl Sweeney won in 2007
Congratulations to Alan Lehmann on winning his first BYOF World Series championship in his first season. The NL Champions defeated the AL Champion Jersey Damage Inc. in 5 games. The Lonesome Dove franchise also won last season with Earl Sweeney as the manager. Congratulations to Rob Capizzano on winning the AL pennant and leading BYOF with the best record.
Albert Pujols was named series MVP. He batted .421 with 3 home runs and 8 RBI's.

Game #1 -- 9-6 Lonesome Dove
The battle of 20 game winners turn out to be one sided as Lonesome Dove's Santana out pitched Jersey's Haren. Lonesome Dove scored 5 runs in the second on a 3-run home run by Bonds and the Legends never looked back. Santana pitched 7 1/3 innings giving up 2 ER while getting the win.
Game #2 -- 5-0 Lonesome Dove
Roy Halladay continued his playoff dominance scattering 3 hits over 8 innings and the Legends defeated the Damage Inc. 5-0. Halladay also had 9 strikeouts and series MVP Pujols went 3-4 with 4 RBI's.
Game #3 -- 3-1 Lonesome Dove
In a pitchers dual Legends Jose Guillen hit solo homers in the 2nd and 4th inning while Cole Hammels pitched into the 7th, leading Lonesome Dove to a 3-1 win and a commanding 3-0 series lead. Neshek and Walker pitched 2 1/3 shutout innings for the hold and save. The turning point in the game was the top of the 5th when Jersey had runners on 2nd and 3rd (Jones single and Granderson double) with none out and only scored 1 run.
Game #4 -- 2-0 Jersey
With Jersey facing elimination Carlos Zambrano and two relievers scattered 10 hits leading Jersey to 2-0 win. Jersey scored their 2 runs in the top of 3rd, with two on Granderson tripled to right center field. Lonesome Dove stranded 11 players on base and Jersey turned 4 double plays.
Game #5 -- 6-5 Lonesome Dove (10 innings)
Lonesome Dove wins 6-5 win in 10 innings as Timo Perez doubled to right scoring Ryan Raburn from 2nd, Jamie Walker got the win. Jersey was down 6-4 in the 9th and loaded the bases with 1 out, a Frank Thomas single scored two runs. Jersey was unable to score anymore. Note: Thames, Abreu and Jones from Jersey and Pujols from Lonesome Dove each had two hits.
